The Australian Automotive Dealer Association welcomed the election of Mr Lauchlan McIntosh AM as Chairman of the Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP) and looks forward to working closely with him in the future.
AADA CEO David Blackhall said Mr McIntosh’s appointment to the global post is a just reward for the enormous contribution he has made to road safety in Australia and overseas over many years.
“He is a strong leader who, as a former Chairman of the Australian New Car Assessment Programme (ANCAP) and an inaugural member of the Global NCAP Board of Trustees, has played a pivotal role in promoting vehicle safety,” Mr. Blackhall said.
“Vehicle safety is an important consideration for car buyers and the AADA is committed to utilising ANCAP safety ratings to assist consumers in their purchasing decisions,” he said.
Mr Blackhall congratulated out-going Chairman, Mr Max Mosley, for the outstanding contribution he has made to road safety.
